Wade Construction Management Consultants partnered with the client team to develop/manage the addition of a grade D to C changing room to an existing manufacturing space. This project also included new clean room standard change facilities, with amendments to the existing HVAC, pressure monitoring and mechanical and electrical systems also.
The project, which consisted of the installation of temporary clean screens, involved the demolition of an existing area, installation, and alteration of both mechanical and electrical systems followed by a cleanroom fit-out inclusive of vinyl flooring, cleanroom ceiling, and walls. This complex and challenging project was located in the centre of an existing manufacturing facility where the key metric of ‘zero interruptions to business as usual’ was a critical KPI for the client and one that the Wade team were passionate about delivering on.
Our role, as the client-side construction manager, saw us lead the pre-construction, construction and commissioning stages of the project working with a client/Wade-selected supply chain to enable us to deliver the project as quickly as possible. Focussing on strategic planning and coordination the team expertly handled multiple stakeholders to deliver the project within the time pressures driven by regulatory requirements and accessing a live, functional site without disruption. Our team handled all elements of this project with professionalism and pride, and delivered both on time, and without any interruptions to manufacturing on the site also, a great accomplishment and the client has marked this addition and partnership as a great success.
